Research folder

During the work on my project, visiting Halifax Bankfield Museum I managed to find packaging examples, which are not related to my Creative Communicating Design or Personal projects, but also good pieces of work:

Review of the Action Plan

Who am I? Perhaps, this is the only question life really throws at us. To get the right answer on this question could take whole our life. Who am I? Who will I become? What is my path? These are questions, which make me to think about life.
I’m quite hard working person. But like anybody else, I do my work with full performance, if only I am interested in these things. I read a book about people’s behaviour and nature, and there was a paragraph: ‘’People are able to work 12 hour shift without feeling tired, if only they enjoy the process of work’’. Also I like drawing using different kinds of software, creating new things, re-design existing brands, create posters, advertisements. These things I can with pleasure and without feeling tired for quite long period. But the main area of my interest is packaging g design. During two years studying on HND Graphic Design course I practiced a lot creating packaging projects, researching about this industry, visiting exhibitions, interviewing other designers.
All second semester of my study on BA Hons graphic design I will spend developing my skills in using appropriate software, trying different kinds of techniques, which could help me, when I will finish my study and will look for work as designer. I think a good designer need to be always creative and to have good knowledge of software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), because most of the work produced now with the help of technology. So my task for this semester is to try myself in using different techniques for creating my designs, and to develop my knowledge in using Adobe Illustrator. Also to find about more about Japanese packaging design, because I find it very interesting and unusual.
So, during this semester I want to set few targets for myself: to learn how graphics and design can communicate together and how can I make it working, to develop my skills in using software, and also to develop y skills in the mechanics of 3D packaging design, because I’ve got interest in it. Also I want to learn how to use new laser cutting machine, which could help me realise my ideas. I’m thinking about further education at Graphic design, what could give me more opportunities, skills and knowledge. I will not work as a designer until I will finnish my last year of study. The earliest, when I will start work as a designer will be end of next year
